    • Although Banns were read for John George Ghent and Alice Rebecca Leman in 1899, the marriage does not appear to have taken place. Alice married Henry Thomas Eldridge in 1899 at Southwark, London. She had previously been married to Robert Leman. They had a daughter Alice Parker Leman, which might suggest that Alice Rebecca's birth surname was Parker. However, her surname when marrying Robert Leman is shown as Brown.
